I started teaaching at Highland Elementary in 1999, under the principalship of Patricia Valentine. I left Highland in 2005 to serve as a teacher elsewhere. I returned to Highland Elementary in 2010, and I have been here every since. I currently teach Kindergarten, where I am extremely happy.
My teaching career started in 1995 in Lafayette Parish. After four years in Lafayette Parish, I moved back home to Ouachita Parish. In 1999, I started teaching at Highland Elementary untiil 2005. In 2005, I relocated to San Bernadino, California, where I taught in Rialto Unified School District from 2005-2007. To help in caring for my ailing mother, I returned to Ouachita Parish in 2007, where I started teaching at Robinson Elementary. In 2010, I came back to Highland Elementary to teach, first as a 5th grade teacher, and finally as a kindergarten teacher.
I have one adult son, who I absolutely adore. I have 3 grandchildren, who mean everything to me. My grandson is a student at West Monroe High School.
I love all arts and crafts. I love to sew, draw, make jewelry, bake cakes, and paint. When I am not teaching, I love to read books.
